Puppy Set On Fire In Sacramento; $8,000 Reward Offered For Information.

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A 4-month-old puppy was doused with an accelerant and set on fire in the worst case of animal cruelty Sacramento’s animal control manager has ever seen.
Gina Knepp said the city’s animal services officers responded to the horrific scene Wednesday at Calvados Avenue and Oakmont Street off Del Paso Boulevard in north Sacramento. The burns had scored off the puppy’s nose and fused her eyes shut.
“I thought I’d seen it all, but this level of deliberate cruelty tops anything I’ve seen before,” Knepp said. “Someone out there knows what happened. This dog deserves justice and we need the community’s help to find the dangerous person who did this.”

The pit bull puppy was badly burned but still alive. However, a veterinarian determined the puppy’s condition required it to be put down.
A reward is up to $8,000 to anyone who can lead authorities to an arrest. As of now there are no known suspects, Knepp said.
RIP sweet baby!! Always loved and NEVER forgotten!! ♥
