IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THESE WOUNDS ON BEAUTY ARE INDEED BURNS .BEAUTY IS ESTIMATED TO BE 8 TO 10 WEEKS OLD AND WEIGHS 6.5 POUNDS . EYE SPECIALIST , DR. ERICA TOLAR, WILL EXAMINE HER EYES . THE DERMATOLOGY SPECIALISTS WILL EVALUATE HER ON MONDAY . THE VETS ARE MAKING SURE THAT SHE IS OUT OF PAIN AND SHE IS BEING MONITORED 24 HOURS A DAY . SHE TESTED NEGATIVE FOR PARVO ! FOR NOW SHE IS RESTING .

Beauty is a sweetheart, even after going through this kind of torture. Please hold this baby close to your heart tonight. We at The Arrow Fund are honored that we could help this innocent....

UPDATE- BEAUTY

PUP WITH CHEMICAL BURN - IT WAS REPORTED TO US THAT BEAUTY ALLEGEDLY CAME FROM HOUSE WITH METH.

I SHOWED THESE PARTICULAR PHOTOS TO SHOW THE DAMAGE TO HER EYELIDS - THEY ARE SEVERELY SCARRED AND SHE IS UNABLE TO BLINK , SHE HAS A SPECIAL OINTMENT THAT MUST BE KEPT IN HER EYES TO PROTECT THEM . THE NEXT PICTURE SHOWS HOW THE INSIDE OF HER MOUTH IS BURNED AND SWOLLEN CAUSING HER TO LOOK LIKE SHE IS GRINNING ALL OF THE TIME. SOME ANGLES DO NOT SHOW THIS, BUT IT IS ALWAYS PRESENT . PLEASE SEND LOVE , LIGHT , AND PRAYERS FOR OUR 6.5 POUND BABY BEAUTY .

We are pleased that Beauty is eating and drinking well. The vets did debride the wounds which means they removed the dead contaminated tissue . We are just keeping Beauty out of pain for now and on antibiotics . This beautiful girl has such a wonderful , puppy personality even after all she has been through .

Sgt. Stubby: America's 1st Bully Hero!

In response to World War I, members of the First Company Governor's Foot Guard were activated and inducted into the 102nd Infantry Battalion of the 26th "Yankee" Division along with members of Connecticut's other Organized Militia units and numerous volunteers. During their training on the grounds of Yale University prior to deployment, they unexpectedly added a soldier to their company. Found by then-Private John Conroy, Stubby was a brindle patched puppy of unknown descent with a short tail from which he received his name. As the soldiers became familiar with army life, so did Stubby. Stubby became familiar with all of the bugle calls, the drill marching routines, and the routines of life in camp, even learning to give a dog's version of a salute. Stubby would would put his right paw on his right eyebrow when a salute was executed by others around him. Stubby's effect on the soldiers around him as well as his dedication to training and his ability to salute earned him the right to remain in the camp, even though animals were not allowed.
