GLENWOOD CITY, Wis. – Anyone with a dog knows how curious and resourceful they can be around anything edible. That curiosity apparently killed a dog in Western Wisconsin.

Luna, a 2-year-old golden retriever, was put down by her owners Tuesday evening after she ingesting Xylitol-laden gum on Monday. Luna had suffered severe liver damage.

Asher Will Help Those With PTSD

A Pit Bull found badly abused and left for dead is now getting a second chance.

Not only is Asher getting a new chance, he's also helping give others a new "leash" on life.

Asher has made a lot of progress over three months. Just barely a year old, it's hard to believe the sweet pup was found left for dead on railroad tracks in Jessamine County with two gunshot wounds.

UPDATE AS OF 4/17/2015: PER SHELTER, ROMEO'S SEIZURE YESTERDAY WAS NOT VERY SEVERE, AND HE HAS NOT HAD ANY MORE SINCE. PLEASE KEEP SHARING HIM SO WE CAN HAVE A RESCUE, FOSTER AND PLEDGES LINED UP FOR HIM WHEN HIS HOLD IS UP THIS WEEKEND. ♥

UPDATE AS OF 4/16/2015: LITTLE ROMEO HAD A SEIZURE EARLY THIS MORNING, SO HE IS NOW IN ISOLATION RESTING AND QUIET. SINCE HE CAME AS A STRAY AND WE HAVE NO HISTORY ON HIM, WE DON'T KNOW IF THIS WILL BE A ONE TIME THING OR IF HE HAS EPILEPSY. HE IS STILL AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR RESCUE. IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THESE WOUNDS ON BEAUTY ARE INDEED BURNS .BEAUTY IS ESTIMATED TO BE 8 TO 10 WEEKS OLD AND WEIGHS 6.5 POUNDS . EYE SPECIALIST , DR. ERICA TOLAR, WILL EXAMINE HER EYES . THE DERMATOLOGY SPECIALISTS WILL EVALUATE HER ON MONDAY . THE VETS ARE MAKING SURE THAT SHE IS OUT OF PAIN AND SHE IS BEING MONITORED 24 HOURS A DAY . SHE TESTED NEGATIVE FOR PARVO ! FOR NOW SHE IS RESTING .
