San Francisco dog recovering after eating poisoned meatball

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A San Francisco dog that fell critically ill on Wednesday from eating a poisoned meatball is continuing to recover.
The 7-year-old dachshund, named Oskar, is receiving care at a Sunset District animal hospital. He is now listed in stable condition.
Dr. Carrie Journey says Oskar's symptoms are consistent with strychnine, an animal poison.

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - It was a horrific sight: A dog, with its mouth duct taped, chained to a fence and left for dead. Now, a $5,000 reward is being offered to find the person responsible.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Pet owners in San Francisco are on high alert after one dog became seriously ill from eating what appears to be a poisoned meatball. Veterinarians are now warning owners to keep an eye out for some serious symptoms.
