China-made dog treats finally being taken off the shelves.

Nestle Purina PetCare is voluntarily recalling Waggin' Train and Canyon Creek Ranch brand dog treats in the United States because the products may contain trace amounts of a poultry antibiotic that isn't approved in the U.S.

Conroe, TX -A dog was found in a garbage bag tied to a fence on a quiet road fighting for its life after being shot in the face.

Monday must be the day for hearing horrific cases of abuse. We've seen at least 3 stories so far today and it's enough to make our skin crawl and stomachs churn with disgust!

Conroe, TX - Tami Augustyn’s neighbor was driving down Bulldog Lane in C...onroe Saturday morning when a contractor’s garbage bag was spotted tied to a t-post. The neighbor noticed the bag moving and stopped to investigate. Another neighbor had seen the bag on his way to work around 2:45 AM but thought it was just trash. When the bag was ripped open a wounded dog covered in blood crawled out and managed to walk about two yards before collapsing on the ground.

Sgt. Stubby: America's 1st Bully Hero!

In response to World War I, members of the First Company Governor's Foot Guard were activated and inducted into the 102nd Infantry Battalion of the 26th "Yankee" Division along with members of Connecticut's other Organized Militia units and numerous volunteers. During their training on the grounds of Yale University prior to deployment, they unexpectedly added a soldier to their company. Found by then-Private John Conroy, Stubby was a brindle patched puppy of unknown descent with a short tail from which he received his name. As the soldiers became familiar with army life, so did Stubby. Stubby became familiar with all of the bugle calls, the drill marching routines, and the routines of life in camp, even learning to give a dog's version of a salute. Stubby would would put his right paw on his right eyebrow when a salute was executed by others around him. Stubby's effect on the soldiers around him as well as his dedication to training and his ability to salute earned him the right to remain in the camp, even though animals were not allowed.
